NYTBook List is at it again. @RepMcSally ⁩ book sold 10k+ but didn’t make the list. Got beat out by a book that sold 2k copies?? NYT is your list for Democrats only? How is 2k > 10k?

Presenting a variety of viewpoints is important. But that means rigorous, fact-based argumentation, not hot takes. An argument isn’t worthwhile in virtue of it being obnoxious. Otherwise you get puerile “send in the troops” op-eds in the NYT.

The NYT has commissioned an op-ed on this topic for next Monday, I hear.

During a town hall with staff, NYT leadership addressed the process that led to the publication of a controversial op-ed. The editor of the editorial page said the op-ed, posted online on Wednesday, would not be published in print on Sunday, staffers say.

"Elderly man impacted his head when it made contact with pavement in confrontation with police during mid-day gathering " or some shit like that is what the NYT and other outlets have conditioned us to accept as reporting. Glad to read that @verge  is having none of that!
