Things GOP's own witnesses have said: Turley: July 25 call was "anything but perfect." Biden talk was "highly inappropriate." Volker: Allegations vs. Joe Biden "didn’t seem at all credible." Morrison: Sondland said investigations were "a condition of having the aid lifted."

Upshot of this story: The only September Trump-Sondland call for which there's a record is the one in which Trump, per Morrison, "said there was not a quid pro quo" but that "Zelensky should want to go to the microphone and announce... the investigations."

Impeachment “Witness” Roundup: Taylor: witnessed nothing Yovanovitch: witnessed nothing Kent: witnessed nothing Hill: witnessed nothing Sondland: witnessed nothing Volker: No quid pro quo Vindman: nope Williams: nothing Morrison: No quid pro quo Cooper: nothing Hill: nothing 🤔

Holmes: "I heard Amb. Bolton express to Amb. Taylor &...Morrison his frustration about Mr. Giuliani's influence w/ the president, making clear there was nothing he could do about it." Bolton "expressed frustration" about Sondland's role. #BoltonMustTestify  #ImpeachmentHearings

Also, the minority put the following witnesses on the list for the hearings. What happened is they didn't give them what they needed so they are trying other angles. Sondland, Volker, Morrison and I think I'm missing someone. #ImpeachmentHearings

Gordon Sondland says he does not dispute the testimony of Bill Taylor and Tim Morrison that Trump told him in September that Zelensky needed to publicly announce investigations before aid would be released.

Sondland testified Bolton asked for Giuliani's contact info on August 26. Holmes testifies today that on August 27, Bolton complained to Taylor/Morrison about "Mr. Giuliani’s influence with the President, making clear there was nothing he could do about it. "

@CongressmanRaja : Tim Morrison called you "The Gordon Problem" Gordon Sondland: That’s what my wife calls me. Maybe they are talking. Should I be worried?

In contrast to Volker and Morrison, who looked deeply uncomfortable through much of yesterday's testimony, Sondland has appeared jolly and at ease much of the time today. He seems to be having the time of his life.

Sondland: don’t recall Biden coming up... everyone thought it was a good call (not vindman and morrison)

We will now hear from Kurt Volker and Tim Morrison. Volker has testified no president should ever ask a foreign leader to interfere in a US election. Morrison will confirm Sondland told the Ukrainians they needed to do so to get vital aid. These are GOP-requested witnesses.

Morrison testifies that five minutes after Pence-Zelensky meeting in Warsaw, Sondland had a conversation with Ukrainian official, Yermak. Sondland told Yermak that an announcement of investigations by the prosecutor general would be “sufficient” to release the aid.

Volker / Morrison seem like they’re playing babe in the woods. That they didn’t know what was going on. That it was all rudy and sondland. That they didnt understand the interest in biden/ burisma. Ukraine experts? Seems questionable.

Q to Taylor: “But if I understand this correctly, you’re telling us that Tim Morrison told you that Ambassador Sondland told him that the president told Ambassador Sondland that Zelensky would have to open an investigation into Biden? “A: “That’s correct,”

New: Gordon Sondland, US envoy to the EU, was acting at President Trump’s instruction in his dealings with Ukraine, according to a former NSC official. Tim Morrison said Sondland “believed and at least related to me that the President was giving him instruction.”

Trump appointed Taylor, dude. Trump appointed Sondland, dude. Trump appointed Hill, dude. Trump appointed Morrison, dude. Trump appointed Volker, dude. Trump appointed (but wont let talk) Perry, Bolton, Pompeo, Mulvaney. ALL are Trump political appointees. All of them.

NSC official Tim Morrison told impeachment investigators today that Gordon Sondland told an aide to the Ukrainian president that U.S. aid would be released if Ukraine committed to investigating Burisma Group, corroborating Bill Taylor’s testimony.

Impeachment investigators have now heard accounts of a quid pro quo from: 1. Bill Taylor, who said aid was tied to investigations 2. Tim Morrison, who said the same 3. Gordon Sondland, who said a WH meeting was tied to investigations

Two things: 1) Morrison flatly confirmed the quid pro quo. Twice. He got it directly from Sondland. 2) Sondland haggling over *who* would make statement is consistent w/ the texts showing how much details of statement mattered to Rudy/Trump. New piece:
