This day in history the world lost a rising superstar. On March 31,1995 Mexican-American singer Selena Quintanilla-Perez, 23, was shot and killed in Corpus Christi, Texas, by the founder of her fan club

Today marks 25 years since the death of Selena, the Queen of Tejano music. The beloved Mexican-American artist, who won a Grammy in 1994, continues to inspire even decades later. #RIPSelena

“Selena will forever be a positive role model for the Mexican American community, and her legacy will never die," said Manuel Pérez, a Texas resident and longtime fan of Selena Quintanilla.

Health officials are bracing the public for 200,000 COVID-19 deaths. The president says that'd mean he'd done "a very good job." That'd be almost double the U.S. Deaths in WWI. It's 50,000 more than Vietnam, Korea, the Revolution, 1812, and the Mexican-American War combined.
