City's plan would eliminate cars from Market Street in San Francisco

Some of the most well-known stores on Market Street could close as tenants looks to sublease some or part of their stores.

'BETTER MARKET STREET': The project would close a 2-mile stretch of the road to all private cars. The goal is to make it safer for everyone, including pedestrians and bicyclists.
