Trump legal team reacts to tax ruling: “The decision of the Second Circuit will be taken to the Supreme Court. The issue raised in this case go to the heart of our Republic. The constitutional issues are significant.” - Jay Sekulow, Counsel to the President

The appeals court ruling gives a green light, in theory, for investigators to obtain the President's tax returns, but Trump's attorney Jay Sekulow said the President will continue his appeal.

The ruling does not take on whether the President is immune from prosecution while in office. It just rules on whether he can be compelled to release his returns. Jay Sekulow wants to go to the Supreme Court.

Trump’s personal lawyer Jay Sekulow just told me he first saw the Mueller report on Tuesday afternoon. Trump’s legal team, including the Raskins, made two visits to the Justice Department to view the report securely — late Tuesday and early Wednesday, Sekulow said.

A new line crossed: Trump lawyer Jay Sekulow confirms to NBC he is calling for a special counsel to *investigate* special counsel Mueller’s team. Citing alleged conflicts of interests, he says “New revelations require the appointment of a Special Counsel to investigate.”

Sean Spicer denied anything other than adoption was discussed. A LIE. Jay Sekulow said “the president was not involved in the drafting of that statement.” A LIE. Sarah Huckabee Sanders insisted Trump “certainly didn’t dictate” the statement. A LIE.

“I had bad information in that statement,” Jay Sekulow, Trump’s attorney, says on ABC after falsely denying that Trump had a role in the misleading statement about Don Jr’s Trump Tower meeting. His attorneys have since told Mueller’s team that Trump dictated the statement
