JUST IN: Democrats on the House Oversight Committee have released an interim report based on multiple whistleblowers who say the Trump administration is rushing to transfer sensitive U.S. nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia in violation of federal law.

Here’s my message to House Republicans: Wake up. Do your job. You swore an oath to the Constitution, not to this President. Your job is oversight, not to help Trump’s legal defense. These attacks on our justice system must end.

Rep. Connolly during House Oversight and Reform Cmte. hearing: "You can talk all you want about whether the poor Border [Patrol] is overwhelmed that makes no excuse for how we are treating children...Is there no limit to what you will justify in this administration?"

“Bruce Ohr is at the center of FALSE ALLEGATIONS which led to a multi-million dollar investigation into what apparently didn’t happen.” Darrell Issa, House Oversight. We can take out the word “apparently.”

When a President lacks character, strong oversight is essential. House Republicans seem to think as long as you can't prove a crime, all is fair in love and war, and what the Trump campaign did is all okay. I don't feel that way. And I don't think most Americans feel that way.

The House Judiciary Committee just voted to hold Attorney General Bill Barr in contempt. Trump and those who blindly serve him — like Barr — must be made to comply with our requests for information. In absence of vigorous oversight, corruption will continue to flourish.

JUST IN: Jared Kushner’s attorney told the House Oversight Committee that Kushner uses private apps and personal email to communicate about official White House matters with foreign leaders — a violation of a law governing White House records and official policy.

The White House may have regularly put political interests over national security by granting security clearances when it shouldn’t. Nepotism or cronyism cannot outweigh concerns over foreign influence or conflicts of interest. Congress must do rigorous oversight.

Confirmed: wins a spot on the high-profile House Oversight committee, giving her a potentially huge platform to interrogate Trump administration officials in next two years.
