Harriet Tubman is never mentioned. Nor is Booker T. Washington nor is Bishop Richard Allen, who founded the African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME), the first independent black denomination in the United States.

Today, 5D Outreach Officers & community youth toured the Harriet Tubman Visitor Center. They learned about history and were able to meet one of Harriet Tubman's close descendants! #DCPolice  #HereToHelp  #CommunityFirst
