Fresno city council president Miguel Arias was cited for assault after a group of protesters showed up at his apartment demanding that businesses reopen and social distancing restrictions be lifted, authorities say.

A legislation was introduced by Fresno City Council Member Garry Bredefeld that could repeal the city’s shelter-in-place order Wednesday afternoon.
