The Milwaukee and Dane county clerks accused by the state GOP of "illegally rigging an election" will not be investigated by the state elections commission for telling absentee voters to mark themselves as "indefinitely confined" if they can't upload ID.

In Opinion Jesse Wegman writes: "It may take more work to win elections by listening to what voters actually want than by simply rigging the maps, but it’s a critical step to save our representative democracy."

@mehdirhasan  Anyway—I wish you the best. People will vote as they want and the chips will fall where they will. That’s how it works. Elections have consequences, right?

We can only really say this with hindsight, but it's amazing how little health care issues factored into recent provincial elections across Canada. It was a back burner issue, at best. This will (should?) change that

Nice deflection, Mr. President. But your false claims fool no one. You welcomed Russian help in 2016, tried to coerce Ukraine’s help in 2019, and won’t protect our elections in 2020. Now you fired your intel chief for briefing Congress about it. You’ve betrayed America. Again.

Mr. President, I didn’t say that. But if you wish to quote me, quote this: ”The only thing Americans despise more than foreign actors trying to affect the vote is a president unwilling to do anything to stop it.” Americans decide American elections.

Why do Republicans just keep on blocking bills to protect our elections!?
