Incredible day in the markets.. #dow  up 1600...as investors grow more optimistic on our future. Let’s hope they’re right on that “V” shape recovery because it is critical our economy return to its vibrant self as soon as it is possible.

We are likely in the 13th recession since WWII. Fastest recession ever was 6 months in early 1980s. Of course, none saw an economy this strong heading into it or saw this amount of fiscal/monetary stimulus so quickly as well. Good chance this is the quickest recession ever.

So last year 37,000 Americans died from the common Flu. It averages between 27,000 and 70,000 per year. Nothing is shut down, life & the economy go on. At this moment there are 546 confirmed cases of CoronaVirus, with 22 deaths. Think about that!

It's incredible that this has to be said: Letting thousands of people needlessly suffer and die is wrong. It's also not a recipe for rescuing the economy.

As a former secretary of labor, I can tell you that we shouldn't be talking about stimulating the economy or going back to work. We should be talking about shutting down the economy and keeping people home, with enough money so they can pay their bills. THREAD.

My Approval Rating in the Republican Party = 95%, a record! Big Iowa win. Approval Rating overall = 53%, a new high. With our great Economy and other major successes, would be 20 points higher without the phony Witch Hunts and Hoaxes???
