The Labor Department is now saying the economy added 501,000 fewer jobs last year than it previously reported.
JOBS REVISED DOWNWARD: @jonkarl asked President Trump about a significant jobs revision down by the Labor Department amid mounting fears about the economy that have quickly become the centerpiece issue in the 2020 campaign.
Most of the downward revision came from industries most associated with consumer spending, the Labor Department said.
