#MeToo aims to accomplish much more than sending Harvey Weinstein to prison. "It demands that we transform our culture of male sexual entitlement and the misconduct it begets. But legal accountability is part of this evolution," writes Deborah Tuerkheimer.

Two @nytimes  reporters, @rpogrebin  and @KateKellyCNBC , spent months independently reporting out Deborah Ramirez’s allegation against Brett Kavanaugh and found it credible—and documented another serious claim of misconduct with an eyewitness:

The “investigation” into Kavanaugh’s aberrant behavior was a farce. His nomination was railroaded through the Senate. I believe Dr. Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez. FBI never reviewed BF’s medical records and never interviewed witnesses of DR’s account. We have a liar on SCOTUS.

Today, @VetAffairsDems  made progress for 2 million women veterans by advancing the bipartisan, bicameral Deborah Sampson Act to address the inequities at VA. Today’s poison pill amendments and GOP walkout are a shame.

Senate Republicans were trying to rush a vote while they knew Deborah Ramirez would come forward with her story. They deny Dr. Ford an FBI investigation, won’t subpoena corroborating witnesses, and now, this. It’s an embarrassment. They have absolutely no interest in the truth.

“I thought it was going to be an investigation,” a Yale classmate of Brett Kavanaugh and Deborah Ramirez said, of the F.B.I.’s renewed inquiry. “But instead it seems it’s just an alibi for Republicans to vote for Kavanaugh.”

Chairman Grassley criticized Sen. Feinstein for mentioning Deborah Ramirez, Julie Swetnick, & other allegations against Judge Kavanaugh. He said we'll deal with those later. If the vote is tomorrow, when is later?

People not testifying at today's hearing: 1. Deborah Ramirez 2. Julie Swetnick 3. Mark Judge 4. Mark Judge's ex-girlfriend 5. Kavanaugh's freshman year roommate 6. Four people Ford told about the alleged assault before Kavanaugh was nominated 7. Experts on sexual assault

This investigation does a disservice to Dr. Ford, who gave such powerful and credible testimony, other sexual assault survivors including Deborah Ramirez, and the American public who expected the FBI would be permitted to conduct a genuine fact-finding investigation.

The White House and Senate Republicans rigged the investigation of sexual assault allegations against Brett Kavanaugh so the FBI couldn’t follow the facts where they led. This does a disservice to Dr. Ford, Deborah Ramirez, all sexual assault survivors, and the American people.
