The late, great Cyrille Regis has been inducted into the National Football Museum Hall of Fame - at a ceremony held at Villa Park. 🏆 The football icon, who also played for WBA, Wolves and Coventry in this region, made 63 appearances and scored 12 goals for us. 🙌 #AVFC

Cyrille Regis was a true hero of football. He helped change attitudes on the terraces and in society, while often being subject to horrific racist abuse himself. #RIPCyrille

Shame on and for not organising a nationwide tribute to Cyrille Regis this weekend. His old clubs plan emotional tributes. All of English football should stand and applaud a brave man and fine player who did so much for the game.

Saddened to hear that Cyrille Regis has passed away. A tremendous striker and fine man whose legacy goes beyond the game, helping to pave a way for black footballers in this country. #RIPCyrille
