It may have shocked a lot of Americans that Fox News went after Colonel Vindman, says @tobinsmith . "But as a former Fox News opinion talk-show host for 14 years, it didn’t shock me."

As a former talk-show host on Fox News, writes @tobinsmith , I can explain the art and purpose behind the attacks on Colonel Vindman

Q: "Ms. Williams you've never used the word 'bribery' or 'bribe' to explain the president's conduct, correct?" A: "No sir." Q: "Colonel Vindman, you haven't either?" A: "That is correct." @RepRatcliffe : Bribery never once came up...until Democrats polled it.

Rep. Devin Nunes refers to Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman as "Mr. Vindman." "Ranking member, it's lieutenant colonel Vindman, please," Vindman responds. #ImpeachmentHearings

When you walk in the world confident in who you are and committed to speaking up for yourself. Nunes: Mr. Vindman... Vindman: Ranking member, it’s Lt Colonel Vindman. #VindmanTestimony

Trump & his proxes have ridiculed General Mattis, General McMaster, General Kelly, and now Lt. Colonel Vindman, all decorated soldiers who willingly and dutifully signed up to work for him. I never want to hear again about Trump's alleged support for our soldiers and veterans.

I am completely disgusted with the smearing of Lt. Colonel Vindman. Shame on all of you with your baseless innuendos about espionage & dual loyalties. I've toasted veterans on Veterans Day & celebrated our great country on July 4th with Col Vindman. He is a true patriot.

I served with Lt. Colonel Vindman in Moscow. Vindman is a patriot, who has served his country with honor and distinction, both on and off the battlefield. He was an absolutely first rate military attache at the embassy, one of the best on the team.

I was probably a little too hot tonight -- appreciate @maddow  for letting me go on and on -- but the attacks on Colonel Vindman reached a new low, and yes, I am pissed off about it !

To those who feel compelled to used hyphenated adjectives of birthplace to slander Colonel Vindman, please note that he was born in & fled as a religious refugee from totalitarian Soviet Union and he is a Jewish-American. And now, please stop.

You are attacking a decorated Army colonel. Alexander Vindman served in the Iraq War. You serve yourself. He received a Purple Heart. You're receiving subpoenas. Unlike you, he has a sense of duty to this country. He is a patriot. You are a disgrace.

This is just shameful. I really cannot believe that Mr. Yoo, a law professor @UCBerkeley  , would insinuate that Colonel Vindman, was practicing "espionage" without a shred of evidence. In some countries, that would be a crime called libel.
