With a woman I love and admire at tonight’s fabulous #OFMAwards2019 . I was honoured to give a lifetime achievement award to Claudia Roden, a true intellectual and a genuine groundbreaker in food writing.

No book will ever take the place of Claudia Roden’s Book of Jewish Food in my heart, but I am enjoying The Jewish Cookbook by Leah Konig very much indeed. Earmarked to try first: Alon Shaya’s Schmaltzy Cornbread with Aleppo Pepper; but so much beckons.
