DRDO successfully conducts Agni II missile’s night trial for first time
India conducted successfully the first night trial of ''Agni-II'', its versatile surface-to-surface medium range nuclear capable missile from Dr Abdul Kalam Island off Odisha coast.
(Balasore, Odisha) Government Sources: India carries out successful night-time test-firing of the 2,000 km strike range Agni-2 ballistic missile. The test-firing was done by the Strategic Forces Command off the coast of Odisha.

For a long time, our scientists desired to develop A-SAT missiles, but then UPA govt did not give the permission to work on the project. When Agni V was launched in April 2012, Dr VK Saraswat said "We now have the capacity to develop an A-SAT but govt hasn't permitted us."
