Of Tusk’s 4 options (Deal, No Deal, Long Delay or Revoke A50) does Labour accept its alternative now means Long Delay and taking part in Euro elections? Or does it think the withdrawal agreement could be passed by April 12th and a new political declaration sorted after that?

a pv is possible if we ask for a long extension it isnt possible to hold it on same day as the euro elections
@SarahRosemary3 A PV is possible if we ask for a long extension. It isn’t possible to hold it on same day as the Euro elections and follow the process of legislation and consultation normally required.

Whatever happens it seems we are not Leaving with No Deal next Friday. Next week could yet see crucial commons votes. And if Deal is defeated again or not put because they know will lose it could be the week Theresa May is forced out to give somebody else a chance.

So a 2 week extension to decide whether or not to cave in and back the ‘deal’ or defeat it again and have a longer delay to work out what to do. In that event would mean holding Euro elections. Could hold a general election while we are at it. No time to make it a referendum.

Well - not for the first time Theresa May calls in the cameras and gets everyone excited only to say nothing new except she’s a bit fed up not to be getting her way. No apology. No compromise. It’s not her fault. It’s those stupid MPs.

@LabourEoin As I say - other choices could appear. But if MV3 is on Thursday night next week that would require EU to agree on Friday by 11pm. And that isn’t a choice it’s a gamble. They might say no.

There could yet be further choices though - e.g. if cross-party talks lead to a customs union/single market consensus govt could be told to go back to EU to ask for short extension for that.

so mps current choice is the deal no deal next friday or stop brexit and prompt new referendum election logic
So MPs’ current choice is : the deal, no deal next friday or stop Brexit (and prompt new referendum/election). Logic of past votes and antagonism to the deal points towards only way to get what majority want is revoke A50 and start again. But logic has little to do with this.

If Theresa May knew the Windrush generation and their children were British all along - as she says in #PMQs - why was she stopping their rights to work, healthcare and benefits and detaining or deporting them? And why did she ignore the clear alarms raised until this week?

Remember : The referendum did not define Brexit. Under pressure from leavers in her party Theresa May decided it meant no single market, no customs union, no Norway or Swiss model. Her interpretation is an opinion that could be changed by parliament or an election
