Politics: the art of convincing decent people to forget the lesser of two evils is also evil.

Impossible to see the White House @PressSec furiously deny the protests without realizing he has become America's least popular cartoon.

Appreciate the counterpoint!
With respect, I don't consider women's rights a partisan issue. And if name-calling changes one's position, it isn't genuine.
.@SwimSider Absolutely. I've pushed it out, and sincerely thank you for hearing us out.
The @nytimes and @washingtonpost are both now leading with remarkable #WomensMarch headlines for their already-solid reporting. Well done!

I don't contest that, and I laud the coverage. My sole point is about the agenda-setting "top story," which is about yesterday.
With respect, you've ceded my point. Please read my tweets and replies from today: the contention is placement, not coverage.
Update: @NYTimes has is now leading with the protests on their mobile site (https://t.co/ie83GrR91c), but still not the desktop site.
I disagree. See this tweet, with your headlines as of right now: https://t.co/rF3jmklAkx
Both @WashingtonPost and @NYTimes have laudable coverage of the protests -- but they're still not leading with it. That's the problem.
Compare @washingtonpost and @nytimes top story about yesterday's news with @BostonGlobe, who updated to lead with today's protests.

No hard feelings. Just disappointed that WP/NYT still haven't updated yesterday's splash hed ("TRUMP"), even after hitting me.
I risked prison as a source for @WashingtonPost, so I would hope it's clear I'm not "media-hating" or unreasonable.
Listen, it's alright to disagree with a protest, but diminishing them is what got us the problems we face today. Respect resistance.
.@SwimSider What's at the "top of" WaPo? Protest is clearly the day's top story, yet it's placed beneath yesterday's news. Sole complaint.
@mcelhearnThis is actually my point: it's not the top story. That's why I said, "top of." See pic taken even now, still matching yours: https://t.

.@SwimSider See pic taken just now. We seem to have different definitions of "top of."

Serious question: Is there a historic precedent for a US President's inauguration being outsized by the next day's protests?
Boston, St. Louis, DC; crowds still gathering. But it's not what you see at the top of @nytimes or @washingtonpost. #WomensMarch
